August 15th ONE Lunch w/ Justin Tucker

July 27, 2018

The men and women of Portland Business Luncheons invite you to join us Wednesday August 15th at 11:45 am to hear from guest speaker Justin Tucker.

Justin grew up in the Rockwood area of Portland/Gresham, in an unchurched family of divorce. He was labeled in school with learning disabilities and “a kid with anger issues.” Thankfully through the encouragement of family and coaches he was able to believe he was more than the labels he was given in school. Justin received Christ at the age of 12 after a friend invited him to a local youth group. Unfortunately, the passion for Christ quickly fell way in high school and Justin got lost in worldly things. After living a life that could have led him to an early death or jail, he encountered Jesus in 2010 and was radically transformed, leaving his old life behind him.

After coming back to Christ, Justin felt the call to inspire youth from his neighborhood. He began by simply showing up to kids’ basketball games, taking them out to eat, and building friendships. He later worked his way through local behavioral schools where he saw the power of one-on-one relationships through intentional mentoring. He worked as a professional mentor at Friends of the Children. At Friends, Justin became a vital part of the lives of nine young men and their families. When he saw the opportunity to inspire children with the love of Christ, Justin joined Faithful Friends. He believes that building relationships with young people who are experiencing tough circumstances can bring generational transformation to the inner-city

Justin Tucker is a new husband and father who serves as the Executive Director of Faithful Friends (a Portland based Christ-centered mentoring program) and is the owner of Nine Eighty Four photography company.

The cost to attend the lunch is $30.00 and pre-registration is required. Please register at this link.
