You are invited to join us for our Downtown PBL luncheon, on Wednesday, June 28th at the University Club in Downtown Portland. Our guest speaker will be Anthony Jordan.

Anthony Jordan grew up in Portland, Oregon, the son of a 5’1″ feisty Puerto Rican mother and a 6’7″ African American father. Jordan attended Jefferson High School and graduated in 1991. He played college football at College of the Redwoods and Portland State University. With a degree in Youth Ministry from Eastern University in Philadelphia, PA. Anthony Jordan has served the inner NE Portland city for over 20 years.

Jordan began his coaching journey in 1994 with youth football and baseball.  Jordan returned to Jefferson and joined the football coaching staff as a varsity wide receiver coach, with four trips to the AYF National Championships in Orlando, and winning it all in 2013. It was March 2016 when Jordan’s dream coaching position became a reality as he returned to Jefferson High School as the football head coach.

Inspired by youth leadership and development, Jordan has lived out his life’s call by serving with many youth organizations for the past 23 years. Jordan founded the Portland Leadership Foundation where he serves as President. PLF is a faith-based community organization committed to bridging the gap for youth in the city of Portland. From an idea and dream on a post-it note in 2007 to building PLF to a $1.8 million 13 initiative service organization today.  PLF is known for taking good intentions to more effective outcomes.

Jordan’s life motto is, “Once this life I’ve been given has come to an end, I pray that I will have lived a life fully wrung out.”

Jordan has been married to the love of his life Donita and will be celebrating 22 years of marriage this December. The Jordans have four amazing children and still live in NE Portland where Jordan has committed to serving the city of Portland for the remainder of his life.
