
Martin French to speak at Downtown PBL Wednesday March 27th
March 21, 2013You are invited to join us for our Downtown PBL luncheon, on Wednesday, March 27th at the University Club. 11:45-1:15. Our guest speaker will be Martin French.
Martin French is an illustrator, designer and educator. His distinctive style, an interplay of marks, signs, and symbols spanning a diverse media context, has been recognized internationally for its dynamic visual exploration of life and culture. His unique, graphic expressionist approach has received over 200 awards of excellence from juried shows across the US, including Gold Medals from the Society of Illustrators in New York and Los Angeles.
A native of California, Martin is a graduate of ArtCenter in Pasadena. He spent 10 years as a designer and director in digital media before opening an independent studio in 1996. Martin is an associate professor and Chair of Illustration at the Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) in Portland, Oregon.
