Gordon Viggiano to speak at PBL lunch Portland Golf Club, February 13, 2012January 16, 2013
I am a family man who was trying to do things right — work hard, provide for my family, follow Christian values. On my 51st birthday, out of nowhere, a terrible thing happened: I suffered a massive stroke! One might say I had been, dealt a dirty card; but I see it differently. The experience has been a true test of faith and perseverance.
My journey of recovery is still in progress. I am almost 5 years post-stroke and am happy to report that I am getting better all the time. My hope is to inspire people and help them see that good things can happen, even when one does not think it is possible. I am certainly not fully recovered from my stroke so you won’t hear an, “I did it and you can too,” speech. I am in the middle of my recovery and so my perspective is from the trenches.
RSVP is required.
